The Reception Class children at Broom Cottages Primary School found out about the important role of our fire fighters last half term.
Spennymoor Fire Service visited the school and talked to the children about how they can help people. The fire fighters showed the children their uniform, their equipment and they explained how their uniform is designed to help them to stay safe when they rescue people. The children had the opportunity to be real fire fighters and help squirt water from the fire hose!! We would like to say thank you to the Fire Service for giving our children this experience. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!!
