Intent, Implementation and Impact
CULTURAL CAPITAL
Children will learn about areas of significant scientific interest in the fields of Biology, Chemistry and Physics and the role played by science in all aspects of life.
Through their work they will learn about famous scientists such as Charles Darwin, Jane Goodall, Marie Curie, Mary Anning and Isaac Newton.
· They will also experience the following:
o Meeting and talking to a scientist.
o Workshops with scientists.
o Possible visits to scientific industries.
o Visits to science museums and botanic gardens.
o Science in the workplace through links with Durham University and other local Ogden Trust schools.
