Staff Expertise
The staff of Broom Cottages has undertaken training led by a range of professionals involved with children with special educational needs in the following areas:
• working with children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
• working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
• working with children with Specific Learning Difficulties.
• working with children with Behavioural Difficulties.
• working with children with Specific Physical Disabilities
• additional Literacy Intervention and Booster Sessions.
• additional Numeracy intervention and booster sessions, including Numicon.
• additional Systematic Synthetic Phonics Sessions.
• Team Teach.
• First Aid.
Staff training is on-going, relevant to the children in the school and in response to current national developments in SEND provision.
