The children from Year 5 and 6 at Broom Cottages Primary and Nursery School have been working with OASES to find out about climate change and its possible impact on our lives.
In February, Durham County Council declared a 'climate emergency.' They are now involved in a consultation process about how best to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in County Durham. Some of our children worked with Amy from OASES and contributed some ideas as part of the consultation process. The rest of the children in Year 5 and 6 discussed possible ways of tackling the problem in class. The children have learnt a great deal and have enjoyed being part of this project. Thank you to everyone who was involved.
