It is vitally important that we have an up to date contact number for every child in case of an emergency.
If your child has an accident in school we will assess how serious it is and either treat and keep your child in school or make a phone call to you if we feel the child needs to go home, see a doctor or go to hospital.
This decision will be made by a fully trained first aider.
If your child is kept in school they would always be given an accident slip explaining what has happened.
It is our policy to always contact you if a head injury occurs, and allow you to make the decision on the next course of action.
We appreciate that to avoid absence, parents/carers send children to school on medication.
Please could we ask that only prescription medicine, which needs to be administered 4 times a day, is sent into school with an adult. We are not allowed to administer non prescribed medication.
