Starting School is an important milestone in your child's life. When considering Broom Cottages Primary and Nursery School we hope you will visit us prior to starting, you and your child will be warmly welcomed. We hope when you choose Broom Cottages Primary and Nursery School you and your child will be extremely happy throughout their time with us.

 

Applying for a place at Broom Cottages Primary and Nursery School:

We have two admissions procedures, Nursery School and Main School. You can apply for a place in our Nursery School by completing the Application Form and returning it directly to School, however The School Admission (Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2008 require all Local Authorities to publish information relating to Schools Admissions, therefore Admissions to Main School are through Durham County Council (Click here for more information).  Please see the information on the Durham County Council Admissions page on how to apply for a place.

Normal admissions procedures apply, however, where a Special Educational Need or Disability is identified the school would work with parents/carers and other agencies involved ensuring that appropriate provision could be made.
